What Is vs. What If

I can spend a lot of time looking at hypotheticals... "What if _______happens? What will I do?" Fear can drive me to that. It is when I start looking too far down the road and into the darkness and the unknown . It is not where the Light and the Lamp are shining. It's when I'm not looking at just the next step. It's when I'm looking at what I can't see. It is only what I can imagine.


The Enemy lies and lurks in those hypotheticals. What he whispers to me, (most often when I feel alone, in the dark of night.) is not true. Those things are mere possibilities...always the most negative possibilities. What he is saying to me is beneath the truth... less than the truth. The Enemy is the god of beneath and less than.


My God, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Nissi is the God of Truth, of more than... of Above and Beyond... Above my thoughts and ways. Beyond all I can ask or imagine... The God with abundant riches and unfailing love.


Philippians 4:8 says "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." So, in this context, Whatever is True, that which gives hope, the Promise and not the Threat... Think on these things. The reason God tells us that is because he knows that when our minds wander to the dark places of What If, fear lurks there. It is a place where we feel the threat, not hope, not peace.


HYPOthetical isn't just a theoretical possibility.

It is beneath, below and less than what is Absolute, Law and Truth.
